UNCHOR OS Cookie and Local Storage Policy
Version 2026-10-23. Effective 23 October 2026.
This policy lists every cookie and every item of browser storage that UNCHOR OS and our website use, and why. We use no advertising cookies, no third-party trackers, no analytics scripts from other companies and no device fingerprinting for marketing. Because every item below is strictly necessary for something you asked for, or only remembers a choice you made, we do not show a cookie banner.
1. Our website
| Name | Type | Purpose | How long |
|---|---|---|---|
| unchor.lang | Local storage | Remembers the language you chose | Until you clear it |
| unchor.attr | Session storage | Carries an invitation code or campaign name from the link you followed into the sign-up form, so the person who invited you is credited | Until you close the tab |
| shield_lang | Local storage | Remembers the language of the message checker at /check | Until you clear it |
Page visits are counted on our server per page and per day, with where the visit came from. No cookie or identifier is set and nothing about your device is sent.
2. The owner app
| Name | Type | Purpose | How long |
|---|---|---|---|
| uos_session | Cookie (HttpOnly, SameSite=Strict, Secure on HTTPS) | Keeps you signed in | 14 days, or until you sign out or change your password |
| uos_tenant | Cookie (SameSite=Strict) | Remembers which workspace you were using | 1 year |
| uos_sso | Cookie (HttpOnly, SameSite=Lax) | Protects a single sign-on attempt against forgery | 10 minutes |
| uos.attr | Session storage | Carries an invitation code into sign-up | Until you close the tab |
| Offline copy of the app | Service worker cache | Lets the app open without a signal and show the last data you saw. It stores the app's files, never your data from the server | Until the next version replaces it |
3. Wi-Fi sign-in pages run with UNCHOR OS
Wi-Fi sign-in pages keep the following in both local storage and a first-party cookie (some phone sign-in windows clear one or the other), so a customer who already paid is not asked to pay again:
| Name | Purpose | How long |
|---|---|---|
| uos_lang | The language chosen on the sign-in page | 30 days |
| uos_pass, uos_receipt, uos_order | The pass and receipt the customer bought, so they can reconnect | 30 days |
| uos_phone | The phone number the customer typed, so they need not type it again | 30 days |
| uos_restore | A code to bring a paid pass to a new phone | 30 days |
| uos_ct, uos_rated, uos_lead | Whether the customer already answered the short feedback question or asked to be contacted | 30 days |
| uos_login_at | Session storage: when the customer signed in, to show time left | Until the window closes |
The business that runs the Wi-Fi network is responsible for these under its own privacy information.
4. Your choices
You can delete cookies and storage in your browser settings at any time. If you block them, the website still works; the owner app cannot keep you signed in; and a Wi-Fi sign-in page may ask a customer to enter their pass code again.
